I live to serve.
When someone thanks me for a kind gesture, my common response is, “you’re very welcome. I live to serve.” I mean it, too. I sincerely believe in doing all I can to help another person or make someone’s day brighter. Ever the caretaker, I’m told I am the rock of my large family, the glue holding the pieces together. Me? I’m the one holding everything together? How am I going to hold everything together?
That’s a lot of pressure!
I love my family and I genuinely love helping out and spending time with them. I love them so much I sometimes neglect taking care of myself. Ignoring your own needs causes stress to accumulate. While struggling with a stretch of severe anxiety, I developed a mantra I have decided to live by.
Every day when I wake up I have a choice. Today I choose me.
This doesn’t mean I no longer help others. I realize only through taking care of myself will I have something to offer those I love and care about.
Every choice we make has the power to positively impact and shape our existence. When we take care of our own needs, when we live our passion, when we experience joy, we cannot help but bring joy to others. I deserve to be taken care of, and so do you.
I believe in you!
You are worthy of the life you imagined you would create for yourself. Your aspirations, whether simple or grand, are attainable.
You can be:
- more healthy.
- more organized and efficient.
- surrounded by beauty.
- enjoying more of your life.
It’s all in the details. Devoting time and energy to little things, making small adjustments, your efforts eventually create your fulfilling, rewarding, inspiring existence. It happens one choice at a time.
Together, we cause “someday” to begin taking shape through small actions implemented today. We explore elements affecting our lives that cause happiness, joy, contentment, and motivation. While tending to our own needs, we continue to celebrate and serve others. Most importantly, we recognize the small steps we take towards defining and refining our magnificent lives.
Taking care of ourselves enables us to serve and care for others.
What better way to honor the gift of life?
You belong here, surrounded by real people who care about you and support you in your journey to realize your best self. Every day when you wake up you, too, have a choice. You can accept and respond to what the world throws at you, or you can choose to manifest your ideal self.
I encourage you to “choose YOU”.
